I have a pretty good collection of planner stickers, but the following are my top recommendations. Obviously, you can plan without using any stickers at all, but the 5 types of planner stickers listed below can help make planning more effective and definitely more fun.

1) Color Coding Dot Stickers
I love using transparent dot stickers to color code my calendar, keeping the different areas of my life categorized and easily identifiable. Color dot stickers are also useful for marking special dates on monthly calendars or important times on daily schedules.
2) Icon Stickers
Icon stickers are great for knowing what something is at a quick glance. On a monthly calendar I can easily spot all the birthdays that I mark with balloon icons, or I can look for mail icons on my weekly spread to remember when I’m expecting a shipment.

3) Month Calendar Stickers
I am always referencing monthly calendars to look up what day a particular date falls on, or to count down days to a certain event. Monthly calendar stickers are handy to stick anywhere in your planner for a quick reference.
4) Functional Box Stickers
Simple box stickers help events, reminders and other special notes stand out on the page. Use them to highlight a birthday, or for an important reminder, or even to block out time on your schedule.
5) Decorative Stickers
Decorative stickers aren’t really as useful as they are fun. For a lot of us, planning isn’t just about function, but it’s also a space for us to be creative and play. And pretty planner pages help make mundane tasks at least more fun to look at 🙂
